I got the opportunity to develop the stage visuals for a dance project organized by Taesung for House Train Korea. They were made with a mix between motion graphics and real time processing in Touchdesigner.
The Performance explored the relationship of Human, Nature and Machine in the current age of AI.
In dance tradition is the base for originality and Taesung works towards combining korean traditions with street dance.
The visuals were developed in harmony with the choreography and stage design.

The circle can represent many things: cycles in nature, time, and perfection. For us, however, it primarily represents boundaries.
The circle can be a protective space in which one feels comfortable and safe. On the other hand, it can also have a restrictive effect.
It creates a separation between those inside and outside the circle.
At the beginning, the dance manipulates static lines projected onto the curtain. But as the performance progresses, the visuals take on a life of their own and react to the music. The dancer is thus no longer in control and must decide to step out of the protective circle, which has become a restriction, in order to expand their own comfort zone.

This is an interactive installation that was created in Tamara Knapp's technology seminar in my third semester. It deals with the interaction between humans and nature. For this, I 3D-scanned plants from my surroundings and put them together to form a new object which is used in TouchDesigner as a pointcloud. You can use the interface in TouchDesigner to influence the point cloud. In addition, a Playtronica TouchMe is connected to the system via a water circuit, thus forming its own ecosystem. As soon as the connection is interrupted - for example, if you put your hand in water - the visual glitches, but if you stay still and become a part of the ecosystem, the visual runs smoothly. Furthermore you can change the color, feedback, and camera angle of the particles, as well as the song that influences the pointcloud’s behaviour via the UI created in TouchDesigner as well.
